Claudia - practising on myself

I had a go at creating my Claudia design on myself.

I starting by creating the doll-like face - foundation, concealer, filling in my brows, bold pink blusher and lips, and subtle eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara. Then, I wanted to make Claudia look more 'mad,' so I smudged the mascara slightly, and smudged brown and reddish shades all over my face to look like dirt and scratches. Finally, I dabbed glycerin along my upper lip, forehead and a little on my cheeks and chin, to look like sweat. I plaited my hair unevenly in low braids and pulled sections out to look more dishevelled, reinforcing the idea that Claudia tries to look pretty and sweet for Quentin, but her insanity leaves her messy, scratched up and dirty.
Looking at the photos, I think in my final look I will use some Supracolour mixed with moisturiser to create stronger 'dirt' effects. Also, the 'scratches' look a little pink, so I will use a more red colour. Other than a few improvements that are needed in the details, I am happy with my design and how it looks in real life.
